“Dancers dream with their feet”
One of my favorite sessions from this year – loved hanging out with Daysha, her sister and her mom while taking Daysha’s portraits. This family is everything creative, fun and energetic. We had such a fun time in the studio coming up with dancing poses for Daysha to do… and wow could she do them! This girl knows her moves and was so strong. She did such a great job holding poses and staying in place. I am not a dancer, but oh how I admire all the dancers out there. It’s so amazing to see someone be so comfortable in their skin and be able to express themselves so beautifully. (I’m the girl in the back of the Zumba class looking like a baboon hoping no one else is watching me!)

Daysha’s mom is an amazing hair stylist and make up artist. She always has the best ideas for shoots. I had been looking out for a good location for this session and I just knew this would be the place. After we did a few shots in the studio I took them to this spot and they instantly fell in love. The weather was so nice and warm and the lighting was that delicious golden glow that fills each photo with life. I couldn’t have asked for a better evening!

LOVE this photo – it looks like’s she’s floating!

Thank you Daysha, Jada and Jodi! I absolutely love working with you girls! Congrats Daysha for making the Olympus High Dance Company!
